Biography
Freezing a gesture, capturing a state of mind, that is what appeals to me.
I aim for a kind of obviousness in my paintings.
A calmness in the middle of chaos. Almost everytime there appears a silhouette of a person.
Somebody is or has just been there, all alone or with others.
I wonder what those people are doing there.
Or are they merely memories and thoughts that somehow got stuck on my canvas?
That is a lovely ongoing mystery.
I work as a painter since 2002.
My studio lies in an old sugar factory by the docks in Gothenburg, Member of KRO
(the Swedish National Artists Organisation).
I am represented in Stockholm, Sweden by Galleri Hera.
